Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Spotted Fringe-fingered Lizard (Acanthodactylus maculatus) is a species of lizard in the Lacertidae family. It is found in Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, hot deserts, and sandy shores. It is threatened by habitat loss. Lacertidae is the family of the wall lizards, true lizards, or sometimes simply lacertas, which are native to Europe, Africa, and Asia. The group includes the genus Lacerta, which contains some of the most commonly seen lizard species in Europe. In a few cases, some species can be found in North America, but this is mainly on account of introducing them to this land. It is a diverse family with hundreds of species in 37 genera.
