George Leslie Hunter (7 August 1877 – 6 December 1931), commonly just called Leslie Hunter, was a self-taught Scottish painter and one of the artists of the Scottish Colourists school of painting.[1] His paintings are critically acclaimed for their treatment of light and the effects of light, and were highly popular during his life time. They have continued to command high prices since his death, and his paintings remain amongst the most popular in Scotland.
