Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The HTC Legend is a phone manufactured by Taiwan's HTC Corporation for the Android platform. It was unveiled by HTC during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 16, 2010 and went on sale on 31 March 2010 The HTC Legend, which runs Android 2.1, is made from a single block of aluminium and has a very bright and clear 3.2 inch AMOLED (Active-Matrix OLED) display. Vodafone will be selling the handset in Europe, wary of losing out after missing the iPhone in some of the company's key European markets. Vodafone also claimed exclusivity rights in terms of the handset and will be the only network provider in the UK to sell the phone. Despite its body being engineered from a single piece of aluminium, the HTC Legend has a removable battery, which slides out from a compartment at the bottom of the phone. The back of the battery casing also contains the phone's antenna so that its metal body does not hinder signal strength. The Legend is the successor to the popular HTC Hero and is slimmer and smaller than its predecessor.
