Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Werribee River Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, which follows Werribee River in the outer western suburb of Werribee in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.North of the train line the path runs both sides of the river. The path on the eastern side is longer by about 2.5km.The path is to be extended to the mouth of the river on the west side, as part of the Werribee Regional Park. This will link the existing trail on the east side, via a footbridge adjacent to the Federation Trail, the footbridge being a byproduct of the Werribee River Aquaduct project.Further down stream a new (2010) footbridge links to Werribee Mansion and Werribee Zoo. Work is in progress (Jan 2011) on the path, bridges and bridge approaches..
