Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. St. Albert was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the Canadian House of Commons from 1988 to 2004. It was created in 1987 from Pembina riding. It was abolished in 2003 and transferred mostly into Edmonton—St. Albert and Edmonton—Spruce Grove. Smaller parts were transferred into Westlock—St. Paul and Yellowhead ridings. An electoral district in Canada, also known as a constituency or a riding, is a geographical constituency upon which Canada's representative democracy is based. It is officially known in Canadian French as a circonscription, but frequently called a comté (county).
