Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Washington Redskins are a professional American football team and members of the East Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. The team plays at FedExField in Landover, Maryland, while its headquarters and training facility are at Redskin Park in Ashburn, Virginia. The Redskins have played over one thousand games since 1932. The Redskins have won five NFL Championships. The 1987 Washington Redskins began with the team trying to improve on their 12-4 record from 1986. The 1987 NFL season was shortened from 16 games per team to 15 games because of a players' strike. Games to be played during the third week of the season were canceled, and replacement players were used to play games from weeks 4 through 6. The Redskins would go on to beat the Denver Broncos 42-10 to win Super Bowl XXII.
