The city was named in honor of the industrial heritage of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.In 1933, a newspaper reported people seeing what looked like a skunk ape that people reported looking like 6 to 7 feet tall and smelling like rotten eggs, along with it having red fur, but not compared to looking much like bigfoot. It was scaring people all over when they heard about it in the newspaper.
