Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Robert Middleby (born August 9, 1975 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia) is a former Australian football (soccer) player who is the Football Operations Manager for the North Queensland Fury in the A-League. The former NSL journeyman came to Sydney FC after earlier stints at Newcastle United Jets, Wollongong Wolves (twice), Carlton, Football Kingz and the Newcastle Breakers. He won an NSL title with the Wolves and also spent time overseas with German outfit KFC Uerdingen 05, 3 Seasons with Shrewbury Town and even made the reserves of the Magpies (Newcastle United). He's currently retired from Football and works for Barclays Bank in the United Kingdom. Middleby saw little game time under coach Pierre Littbarski in his first season at the club, playing only 212 minutes in 16 appearances despite scoring in Sydney FC's 3-1 victory against New Zealand Knights early in the campaign. He gained favour, though, under Littbarski's replacement Terry Butcher and was a regular starter in the 06/07 season.
