This research discussion investigates some of the challenges inherent to the adoption of online learning environments. Beyond the discussion of the complexities and importance of technology, communication, and group dynamics in learning communities, the research looks for significant differences in the self-reported experiences of a group of students with experience in both online and traditional learning modalities. Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences is used to organize whether the research participants' primary intelligence scores, as inventoried by the MIDAS, exhibited any trends in the research population's self-reported perceptions.
