"It remains true, however, that Louis Mpala's political philosophy does not dedicate democracy to the geminies. It merely questions the meaning of elections and their consequences in a representative democracy. The aim - since there is one in this book - is to advocate a new form of democracy: "pro-Hôponist democracy". It would be based, among other things, on the philosophy of meeting people. Its major pillars would be the "drawing of lots" linked to the "principle of rotation of charges", the "principle of isegoria", the principle of equality and the "participatory budget" (Pr E. Banywesize). With the Covid-19 pandemic, it is fitting to imagine an alternative to representative democracy. It is against this democratic alternative that some young philosophers from the University of Lubumbashi are rising up against. This is how the debate is born.
