Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. In Islam, a Messenger is a prophet sent by God with a Sharia "Divine Law". In Christianity, the Greek term angelos "messenger" is used to refer to supernatural beings sent by God. However, Islam does not consider Messengers to be supernatural beings and employs a separate term for "angels". According to the Qur'an, God has sent many prophets to mankind. However, a messenger entertains a 'rank' higher than a prophet, bringing a new Sharia to the people, while prophets reinforce old ones. Twenty-five prophets are mentioned by name in the Qur'an, but according to the hadiths there have been over 124,000 prophets in total sent to all portions of the Earth to preach and spread the message of Islam
