The issue of woman ordination to the priesthood has had a great impact in the South African churches and societies. It has been very controversial, especially in the Catholic Church. However, the Protestant Churches have been able to overcome this controversy and have ordained women. This study seeks to investigate the views, perception, experiences and challenges of women ordination by the Catholic and the Protestant churches. The analysis of this study should help shed some light on the possibilities of women to be ordained to the priesthood. It should be useful to all women who are advocating for women ordination in the Catholic Church and other denominations.
