Viktor Vasilievitch Tikhomirov (Russian: Виктор Васильевич Тихомиров, December 10 (O.S. 23) 1912, Kineshma, currently in Ivanovo Oblast, Russian Empire — 1985, USSR) was the Soviet scientist in the field of radioelectronics and automation, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1953), Full Doctor of engineering, three times laureate of the Stalin Prize (1943, 1945 and USSR State Prize of 1953), two Lenin Orders. He was the leader of Tikhomirov Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Design (NIIP) since March 1, 1955 up to 1962. The institute was named in his honour after he died.
