Lüterkofen-Ichertswil is a municipality in the district of Bucheggberg, in the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland. It was formed in 1961 from the merger of the two previously independent municipalities of Lüterkofen and Ichertswil.Lüterkofen is first mentioned in 1325 as in Luterkon. Ichertswil is first mentioned in 1148 as Hisenharteswilare.Lüterkofen-Ichertswil has an area, as of 2009, of 4.42 square kilometers (1.71 sq mi). Of this area, 2.32 km2 (0.90 sq mi) or 52.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.48 km2 (0.57 sq mi) or 33.5% is forested.
