Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Jeffrey Scott Schaefer (born May 31, 1960 in Patchogue, New York) is a former Major League Baseball utility infielder. He played all or part of five seasons in the majors between 1989 and 1994. Of the 225 games Schaefer played in the majors, about half (110) were at shortstop, with most of the rest at third base (81) or second base (25). Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.
