Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Scots College is a private (independent) boys' primary and secondary school located in the suburb of Strathmore Wellington, New Zealand. The College comprises both the primary and secondary institutions - the primary school section is typically referred to as the Preparatory School and has its own Head Teacher and staff. It was founded as a Presbyterian boys' college in 1916 by Rev Dr James Gibb and the Hon John Aitken on the current campus of Queen Margaret College in Thorndon. Dr Gibb's vision was the creation of a Christian college that would be independent of the secular state system. It is the 'brother' school of The Scots College in Sydney, Australia and of Queen Margaret College in Thorndon, Wellington.
