Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online.Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1985 by members of the bands Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns. The band has released six studio albums, one cover album, one live album, two compilation albums, two mini albums, three video albums, twenty-two singles and seventeen music videos. After co-founders Axl Rose (vocals) and Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitar) settled in lead guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler, the band signed a deal with Geffen Records in 1986 and released the EP Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide. Then Guns N' Roses recorded its debut album, Appetite for Destruction, which was released in 1987, reaching the top of the Billboard 200 and becoming the best-selling debut album in history, with 18 million units in the United States alone. The band's next release was G N' R Lies, which included the four Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide recordings on one side and four acoustic songs on the other. In 1990, Guns N' Roses returned to the studio to record its new studio album, with two new members, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, and drummer Matt Sorum, who replaced Adler after his dismissal for drug problems.
