This book explores the complexity and diversity of violence in secondary and preparatory schools where the causes, magnitude, vulnerability, dynamics and impacts are evaluated within the framework of sustainable peace building. Moreover, the study examines, to what extent peace education could be effective in transforming and shifting the violent behavior of the youth towards culture of peace non-violent conflict resolution. Critical exploration of the different concepts and school of thoughts on violent behavior in youth are also examined in the research analysis. The empirical case study was conducted in three pilot areas located in Addis Ababa, the federal capital, and Mekele, the regional capital of Tigray.
