Metallurgy is focused on manufacturing processes, so it is common to use machines that generate loud noises such as sanders, poly-cutting, guillotines, welding machines, which can cause injury to workers' ears, often irreversible injuries leading to total hearing loss. The objective was to perform qualitative evaluations of the present and quantitative occupational risks, regarding the exposure to occupational noise. The results of the noise dosimetry were related to the relevant Regulatory Standards such as Individual Protection Equipment - NR 6, Environmental Risk Prevention Program - NR 9 and Unhealthy Activities and Operations - NR 15. It was found that 50% of the groups evaluated were above the Tolerance Limits established by NR 15, 85 decibels (dB) for 8 daily hours of work, and the group most exposed to occupational noise was the Sanders 90.3 dB followed by the Welders 86.1 dB. To minimize exposure to occupational noise and preserve workers' health, a set of measures were developed, such as training, removal of the machine operator, without the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE'S).
