Chen Wu (died 215), style name Zilie , was a military general serving under the warlord Sun Quan during the late Han Dynasty period of Chinese history. Chen first entered Sun Ce's service when the latter freshly acquired southern Yang Province, and was made the captain of Sun Quan's bodyguards after Sun Ce's death. He was full of valor and was responsible for Sun Quan's safety when there was a war, and was known for his kindness towards his fellow soldiers– Sun Quan was fond of him and even would spend time visiting Chen's home. During the Battle of Xiaoyao Ford, Chen was killed by Zhang Liao's force while attempting to save Sun Quan. Sun later personally held a funeral for Chen. Sun also ordered Chen's favourite concubine to be killed as a sacrifice and he rewarded Chen's family with tax income of 200 households. His son, Chen Biao, although a scholar, succeeded his command and continue to serve the Sun clan.
