Daniela Ceccarelli (born September 25, 1975 in Rocca Priora) is an Italian Alpine skier. In 2002 she won a surprise gold medal in the Super-G competition in Salt Lake City. Alpine skiing (or downhill skiing) is the sport of sliding down snow-covered hills on skis with fixed-heel bindings. Alpine skiing can be contrasted with skiing using free-heel bindings: Ski mountaineering and nordic skiing – such as cross-country; ski jumping; and Telemark.
